FEDAC PROCESSING UPDATES
There are three different levels of reporting information: Levels I, II and III. Customers using corporate cards, fleet cards, or purchase cards, such as the GSA SmartPay card, require at least Level II reporting capability. The levels, described below, show the detail a merchant can provide to their customers using any of the cards mentioned above.
Level I is a standard credit card transaction offering the following information:
- total purchase amount
- merchant name
- city and state of merchant location
- date of transaction
Level II adds additional information to the transaction record to include:
- amount of sales tax
- customer accounting code (a 1 to 16 digit alphanumeric code)
- merchant address
- merchant phone number
Level III adds to the Level II transaction by providing the following:
- quantity of items purchased
- duty amount
- freight amount
- product description
- zip codes of shipping origin and destination
- product codes
- minority classification code of merchant
